users of Skinmaker with nvidia vga cards can post the driver version in use ?
I have vs 77.72, with release date 06/15/2005 , and Skinmaker does a GPF related to openGL while launching.
Running winXP + SP2, vga card asus n6600.
[continued]
[ my skinmaker version is 2.4.1 ]
With vs 78.01, released 2 sept 2005 ( last available from nvidia) its the same: at launch apears the MS message 'application must terminate... send report ?... module kernel32.dll...'; closing that appears a MessageBox with the text:
'Exeption EOpenGLError in module utskinmaker.exe at 000D3237. Need at least OpenGL 1.1'
Now, the documentation of Nvidia claims support of OpenGL 2.0
Antonio, I know you are not developping further the Unreal programs, and obviusly you are not going to track obscure errors, but... maybe you can give a fast look, just in case is something very simple ?
I remember for Quake3 there was a utility 'Qwiew' that was broken with the change of OpenGL 1.xx to 1.zz but the problem was easy to track and fix: the buffer length for query device capabilities was grown from one vs to the next, thus nuking the stack. I dont mean that this is exactly the problem with skinmaker, only suggesting that maybe a little look can suggest a fix. If things go deep, well, bad luck.
If you need to test changes or something, contact to
clau1san@yahoo.com.ar , even if some time has passed from this posting.
Thanks for your atention,
